The mantra found its voice, and the journal became more thoughtful

After launching Daily Mantra, we continued building around it not a feed you want to keep scrolling, but a small daily ritual. Along the way, we improved the journal, export, AI reflections, and blog — the parts of Reflectly Online that help you not only save an entry, but return to it and listen to yourself more closely.

Below are the most important updates from the past few weeks. No technical list of commits: just what you can already notice and try in the product.

You can now listen to your mantra

Some phrases have a rhythm of their own. Reading them may be enough, but sometimes it helps to slow down and hear the words spoken aloud. That is why mantras now have audio: tap “Listen,” get comfortable, and let the phrase unfold without rushing.

We have not changed the rhythm of the practice itself: it is still one question or one affirmation for 24 hours. No endless stream and no trying to find a “better” phrase. The value of a mantra is not in quantity, but in how one thought can stay with you at different moments of the day and sound a little different each time.

From one phrase to your own entry

If a mantra touches on something important, you no longer need to copy it into the journal by hand. The “Write in journal” button opens a new entry with the phrase already included — all that remains is to add your own thoughts, associations, or an honest “I do not know what I think about this yet.”

And if you want to share the phrase, Reflectly Online will create a polished graphic card. You can send it through your device’s share menu or post it to Facebook or X. A public page is also created for the mantra: whoever receives your link will see that exact phrase and, if they wish, can get their own Daily Mantra.

This is still a personal practice. Sharing is optional. We simply added the possibility for those moments when the words remind you of someone close or touch on a conversation you have been meaning to start.

Help make AI reflections more accurate

An AI reflection should help you see an entry from another angle, not pretend to offer the one correct interpretation. You can now give it a like or dislike and, if you wish, briefly explain your choice.

This is not a judgment of your feelings or another task to complete after writing. Our team cannot see either the text of your journal entry or the generated reflection. Of the feedback content, only an optional comment is available to us, if you choose to leave one. Likes and dislikes provide an aggregate signal of how well the model’s responses align with users’ expectations.

Export preserves more context

A journal is valuable for more than today’s entry. Sometimes you want to read back through several months at your own pace, save an archive, or print an important period. We have expanded export options: you can now choose the order of entries, include the metadata you need, and decide whether to add AI reflections.

Attached images now stay alongside the text when exporting to PDF and Markdown, too. A photo, screenshot, or drawing often carries as much context as the paragraph beside it — it would be strange to lose that context in the archived copy.

You can configure your export in your profile.

It is easier to find what you need in the blog

As the blog grows, a simple chronological feed is no longer enough. We have added search and filters, and active criteria are now visible at a glance — no more wondering why you are seeing this particular selection.

Sharing what you have read is now easier from the article page. You can copy the link or send the article directly to X or LinkedIn.

Reflectly Online remains completely free

Every Reflectly Online feature remains completely free. We do not put mantras, the journal, AI reflections, or export behind a required payment.

If the project has been useful to you and you would like to help it grow, you can now take out a voluntary subscription for one month or one year. This is not a purchase of access to exclusive features, but a way to support our work on the service. For us, that support is a powerful motivation to keep caring for the project and filling it with features that will be useful to you.

There is no obligation to subscribe. Use Reflectly Online at your own pace and for as long as it helps you.

In development: gentle email nudges

Another major feature is still in development: daily email nudges. We want to create not an intrusive mailing list, but a gentle invitation to return to yourself: one journal prompt or one affirmation at a time you choose.

Our plans include explicit opt-in, time-zone awareness, and a choice of what suits you best: journal prompts, affirmations, or a balanced mix. The email will lead directly to a new entry, removing unnecessary steps between a thought and your journal.

This feature has not launched yet. We are mentioning it now because it is an important part of where Reflectly Online is heading: less noise, more timely reasons to pause and notice what is happening within.

Start with today’s mantra, listen to it, and if it resonates, carry the thought into your journal. Visit the blog, and if you would like to tell us what has become easier or what is still missing, write to us through support. We read these messages and use them to guide what we work on next.
